Attractions

One of the town’s many attractions are the passenger cruises provided by Żegluga Augustowska (the Augustów Shipping Company). It is one of Poland’s few shipping companies providing cruises for passengers on board the so-called “white fleet”. During the tourist season it serves around 100,000 passengers.

One of the greatest all-year tourist attractions in the region, the narrow gauge railway, was created as a reconstruction of a historic forest railway.

WATER SKI

One of Augustów’s major highlights is the first professional water ski lift. It is 740 metres (almost half a mile) long and allows you to ski with the speed of up to 58 kmph (36 mph). The lift serves 8 people at a time.

GONDOLA TRIPS

The stylised wooden 11-seater motor-propelled gondolas will take you for a trip on the lakes around Augustów and on the Augustów Canal. The harbours are situated by the Netta River and by Lake Necko.

CATAMARAN TRIPS

Catamaran trips to the Rospuda Valley are scheduled on a daily basis. A luxury boat departs every day at ... for a 2-hour cruise.

SPORTS&RECREATION CENTRE

The Sports&Recreation Centre, featuring pools with water and air massage jets, jacuzzis, a 92-metre (300 ft) water slide, a sauna, a gym, sunbeds, and a health spa.

DIVING

If you have already had enough of skydiving and waterskiing, it means you are ready to look around from a new perspective – an underwater one.

BALLOON FLIGHTS

Balloon flights can be enjoyed anywhere in Poland but we strongly encourage you to participate in events including a balloon flight in the Augustów region.

A SKATING-RINK

It is the only place in town with an all-year-round ice rink with an area of 240 sq m (about 2580 sq ft) and a skate rental shop.
